Thackray Crane Proudly Supports Paws for the Cause
Since 1947, Thackray Crane Rental has believed that being part of the Philadelphia region means more than simply working here. It also means giving back to the people and organizations that make our community stronger. That commitment extends beyond the jobsite through support for local charities, foundations, and causes making a meaningful difference. This year, we’re proud to support Paws for the Cause and its efforts to advance lifesaving cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Hosted by the Fox Chase Cancer Center Board of Associates, Paws for the Cause is an annual dog walk that brings patients, caregivers, supporters, community members, and their four-legged friends together for an important cause. Now in its 27th year, the event has raised more than $1 million to support cancer research, postdoctoral fellowships, and patient care at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The 2026 event will take place on Sunday, September 20, and feature a one-mile walk around Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Northeast Philadelphia campus. Attendees can also enjoy food, music, children’s activities, contests, prizes, vendors, raffles, and other activities throughout the day.
For nearly eight decades, Thackray Crane has worked alongside businesses and organizations throughout the region, supporting projects that contribute to the continued growth of Philadelphia and its surrounding communities. That longstanding connection extends beyond the jobsite and includes supporting organizations and initiatives working to make a meaningful local impact.
Fox Chase Cancer Center’s commitment to advancing cancer research and providing exceptional care has touched countless lives throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond. Events like Paws for the Cause give the community an opportunity to come together, raise awareness, and help provide valuable resources for the researchers and medical professionals leading that work.
Supporting the communities where we live and work has long been an important part of Thackray Crane. We are honored to stand alongside Fox Chase Cancer Center, the Board of Associates, and everyone contributing to this year’s event.
